Lincoln Neatsfoot Oil is a great treatment to prevent cracking and waterproof leather goods. It also has properties that will rejuvenate tired old leather. Neatsfoot oil has traditionally been used since the 18th century as a leather treatment and for other things such wood and unbelievably as a skin moisturiser. By applying a small amount of oil to a cloth and rubbing into leather it will keep the leather supple by keeping the moisture in the leather at the correct level to prevent cracking.
